Hi ALL, I try not to use CCPSG for my own personal use but this evening I am asking for a favor from everyone.
I have a dear friend in New Mexico who needs lots of prayers. Here is a message I received from her today. It just reaffirms and confirms how brutal this stinking beast called PD really is. THis is a young lady of 55 who was diagnosed in May of 2007. I have had the privilege of calling her friend since October 2007 when she joined patientslikeme.com. Here is the message. "Hi, my daughter is typing this message for me. Thank you for the Christmas and New years Wishes. I hope you are having a nice New year. Things are kind of shutting down for me. It is getting harder and harder to eat and swallow my medications. I have not been on here(plm) in a long time and probably will not be able to for a long while" PLEASE whether you believe in the power of prayer or not say a prayer for this young lady. She has two beautiful daughters and a wonderful husband. PD really does suck. why is it that some live forever with this stupid disease and others advance so damn quickly. Hugs and Love to ALL Tommy
The Crooked Path is a blog written by Corey King, a CCPSG member and diagnosed with PD at the age of 47.
Comal County Parkinson Support Group Annual Picnic was April 28th and we would like to thank Lone Star Parkinson Society for a wonderful day of fellowship with other people with PD and Caregivers. A huge and grateful THANK YOU to Gretchen & Marilee, LSPS Board and family members for their coordinating and volunteering services for the day. Each and every one of you are appreciated.
